As such, we are thrilled to be able to offer reduced-fee counselling services through the support of our supervised counselling interns. These wonderfully skilled clinicians have not only completed the rigorous coursework of their masters-level degrees, but also have extensive hands-on experience within the field of mental health at large (i.e., volunteering on crisis support lines, providing counselling, working within peer-support programs, working with developmental disorders etc.).

It is never too late to be what you might have been.” - George Eliot

The ebbs and flows of life never cease, and while they may bring hardship, they also bring with it the subtle reminder to return to ourselves. For these moments of fragility and darkness are often where we find deep healing, as well as our light. Seeking out a space to explore that healing is a courageous act of self love which I would be honoured to be a part of.

Inspired by Jungian psychology, attachment theory, somatic techniques, existentialism and other psychodynamic approaches, I believe therapy is a journey of coming home to yourself, through mind, body and spirit.

My approach is to offer guidance that empowers you on exploring your own personal journey. Together we will harness experiences through relationship dynamics, cyclical patterns and the shadow. Shadow work is about exploring internalized beliefs and repressed parts of the unconscious mind, awakening them into awareness to heal and integrate those parts on a path to self-actualization.

I offer individual, couples and group therapy to adults of all genders experiencing life transition, anxiety, depression, as well as existential and psychospirtual exploration. I pride myself on offering a safe space for individuals to show up as they are. I possess experience working with adults who are neurodiverse, a part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and am a trauma informed professional.

In our work together, you can expect to feel supported, respected, and safe. I firmly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship to foster a space for healing, growth, and transformation. Every individual is unique, bringing their own lived experiences to therapy, and I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs.

I work from a feminist and intersectional perspective, integrating various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Mindfulness-based approaches.

My experience in gender-based violence has equipped me to work with diverse age groups and address complex needs. This background has also deepened my understanding of relationship dynamics, identifying healthy versus unhealthy behaviours, and the profound impact of trauma on individuals and families.

Some of my areas of interest include topics of vulnerability, sex and intimacy, healing from trauma, as well as identity and self-discovery. If you’re feeling lost, struggling to cope, or need support navigating life’s challenges, I encourage you to reach out. Together, we can embark on a journey toward healing, clarity, and empowerment.

Life is challenging and can be overwhelming at times. Feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, emotionally drained, and unable to keep up with the demands of life can have a negative impact on your physical and mental health. If not addressed, this can have a detrimental and rippling effect on our relationships and a limiting effect on our ability to feel happiness, joy or have the energy to get out of bed and tackle the day.

I am a good listener and offer you a space to feel seen, heard, and validated. I believe you are the expert on your own life and I am here as a guide to illuminate your strengths, while helping you navigate the challenges and obstacles you are facing (past, present or future). I offer you a trauma-informed, client-centered, and integrative approach to personal growth, health and healing. My hope is for you to find meaning and purpose, while building your resiliency reserves.

I am motivated to leave this world a little healthier than I found it. I have been on a two decade journey, to gain a diverse and holistic understanding of health… body, mind, and spirit. I am particularly intrigued by the ways each aspect of our life is interdependent on our overall wellbeing. I am a lifelong learner and prior to completing my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology, I received a Certificate in Women’s Functional and Integrative Medicine (2020) with Dr. Aviva Romm, a Bachelor’s of Integrated Studies (2018) from The University of New Brunswick, and a Diploma in Holistic Nutrition (2006) from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. I have also completed 1000’s of hours of additional training in yoga, meditation, mindfulness, acupuncture, Ayurveda and coaching.

I am interested in helping clients find their way through major life transitions, unmanageable stress, hopelessness and overwhelm. I am passionate about supporting caregivers who are assisting family members with disabilities or aging parents, as well as those struggling with fertility and all of the challenges and emotions that go along that.

I look forward to getting to know you and co-creating a life you love.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, a Master of Science in Biology, and over a decade of experience as a licensed Naturopathic Doctor, I bring a deep commitment to whole-person care. My journey into healthcare began with a simple but powerful desire to help people heal in ways that support both body and mind. This passion has led me to pursue a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and registration as a Psychotherapist, driven by the growing need to address mental health concerns with the same level of care and intentionality as physical health.

I believe that true wellness is rooted in integration, the blending of conventional and natural therapies with emotional, cognitive, and spiritual care. My practice centers on this philosophy. Whether I’m supporting someone through anxiety, chronic illness, physiological imbalance, or sleep struggles, I prioritize evidence-based strategies that are compassionate, preventive, and personalized.

I work with individuals of all ages and genders, with a special interest in supporting children. In addition to my qualifications, I am a certified Child and Infant Sleep Consultant and have seen firsthand how early intervention focusing on sleep, stress, and emotional well-being can significantly influence long-term health and development.

My clinical experience has shown me that mental health is not just one piece of the puzzle it is foundational. That is why I am deeply committed to helping individuals explore the root causes of distress, reclaim meaning, and build resilience through psychotherapy. I integrate my naturopathic training to support emotional regulation, lifestyle balance, and sustainable healing from the inside out.

Above all, I value collaboration between patient and practitioner, and across disciplines. I work alongside many healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care. By bridging physical and mental health, we can create lasting change that empowers people to thrive, not just survive.

Hi there! My name is Nicole and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and founder of Root to Rise Psychotherapy and Wellness ✨

I’m so grateful that you’re finding yourself on this page right now. You are taking a courageous and magical step towards healing and I am so honoured to be supporting you on your journey.

My work as a clinician is grounded in the belief that deep down, somewhere within, we all have the power to take hold of our life, our emotions, our responses, and our relationships with ourselves, our loved ones, and the world around us at large.

Whether you are struggling to mitigate symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, and/or grief, or you are simply feeling unbalanced and incapable of optimizing your day-to-day life with motivation, confidence, and joy (yes, joy!), I am committed to helping you do the work, dig deep, and re-gain the power and self-awareness needed so that you can gain and experience ongoing balance, clarity, hope, strength and inspiration.

Together, we will create an individualized treatment plan that emphasizes a strengths-based, integrative, and holistic (mind/body/soul) framework so that, with all the right tools, you can become the catalyst to your own healing and life journey.

My ongoing commitment to you includes providing you with a safe, welcoming and unjudgmental space where you can receive the compassion, validation, time, and energy required for healing and growth. I also commit to meeting you where you’re at on your journey as well as honour your vulnerability and willingness to show up for yourself (this is no easy task, especially when we are suffering).

I’m so looking forward to our work together!
